What does a home doctor visit cost?
A doctor consultation at home with VIP Care by Healing Touch starts from AED 300.
The final cost can depend on a few things:
- Extra treatment. Medicines, tests or procedures during the visit may be charged separately.
- Follow-up visits. Some conditions need a second check.
There are no extra charges for night or weekend visits, and we cover all areas of Dubai. We tell you the price before the doctor arrives, so there are no surprises.
What's included in a home visit?
A DHA-licensed doctor comes to your home, hotel or office and does a full consultation, just as they would in a clinic. This usually includes:
- Talking through your symptoms and medical history
- A physical examination
- Checking vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure and heart rate
- A diagnosis and treatment plan
- A prescription if needed
- Advice on recovery and when to seek further care
What conditions can a home doctor treat?
Home visits suit common illnesses that need a doctor but not a hospital. Our doctors treat:
- Acute illness: sudden sickness that needs medical attention
- Cough and flu: including sore throat, congestion and body aches
- Fever: in adults and children
- Pain: such as headaches, back pain and muscle pain
- Diarrhea: including checking for dehydration
- Motion sickness: common for travellers and visitors to Dubai
When is a home visit better than a clinic?
- You feel too unwell to travel. A high fever or stomach illness makes traffic and a waiting room miserable.
- You're caring for young children. You don't need to take a sick child out or bring the whole family.
- An elderly or bedridden family member needs care. Moving someone with limited mobility can be difficult and risky.
- You're staying in a hotel. Visitors to Dubai may not know where to find a clinic.
- You want privacy and comfort. You're seen in your own space, on your schedule.
When to go to the hospital instead
A home visit is not for emergencies. Call 998 for an ambulance, or go to the nearest emergency department, if someone has:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Difficulty breathing
- Signs of a stroke, such as a drooping face, weak arm or slurred speech
- Severe bleeding or a serious injury
- Loss of consciousness or a seizure
- A severe allergic reaction
